About Me
My Background
I paint mostly flowers and aspects of nature. I create in my studio on the grounds of our 1750 farmhouse. I have taken 2 masters classes in botanical illustration in England and numerous related classes. I have been teaching art classes on cruise ships for 12 years until Covid. I recently have been creating eco dyed pieces using leaves, vines, flowers, etc. placed carefully on watercolor paper, stacked and bound and boiled in a water bath solution for several hours. The results reveal naturally dyed faint images which I overpaint using a variety of mediums. It is a wonderfully random and creative process which inspires me endlessly
